Ethics Statement
A famous UK advertising campaign used the strapline ‘it does exactly what it says on the tin’.
But why mention this?
Well I’m the same. You can visit my social pages, my product pages, my tutorials, videos, podcasts, infographics, articles, templates, checklists etc…etc…etc and what I say and how I say it will be the same.
NO fads, NO buzz phrases, NO flaky fakery so common online.
JUST my thoughts, words and hard won experience of creating and publishing content shared in many different ways to help other online business owners.
So - my ethics when it comes to advertising and promoting other people's products are these.
All of the software, cameras and recording equipment and products I use and review have been purchased by me. Should I be lucky enough to be given a product to use for free by a company I will always clearly mention this in any video or written content I produce.
I NEVER take part in the fake scarcity, hyped up rubbish of the affiliate launch circus.
I’ll review and recommend (or not) ONLY products that I use all the time in my business and personal life. My reviews and recommendations are based on actual use of the things each tool has been designed to do. ‘Sponsored’ content across my sites, videos and audios is very rare. If I do choose to work with a third party company it will be because I actually use and rate their product or service or them. Any such sponsorship will be clearly flagged and/or mentioned.
I also stand by our clearly set out refund policy. Put very simply – if one of our products or services isn’t for you then provided you ask within 30 days of purchase we’ll happily give you a refund. Try and steal our products or rip us off and equally simply - expect what you deserve in return.

All content published under my name or that of my business brands is my own. I write, edit, create and produce content in many forms based on the issues my customers share, research I undertake or just about subjects or problems I’m interested in or have had to solve myself.
I don't use AI tools to write content for me so all my content is my Intellectual Property, the copyright of my company and any theft will be vigorously pursued.
While it usually makes sense to include certain links in video descriptions or social media posts, I retain full control over what is shared on my accounts across all platforms.
I appreciate when companies offer information about their products/services, but I will only include what I think is relevant and necessary. I will work to seek answers for anything about a product/service that I don’t fully understand.
Any reviews I compose and share about software, equipment and products are based on my own use, experiences and learning so I tend to share the excellent, the good and the bad as well as any suggestions for improvements I think could be made (once a product inventor always a product inventor).
You may or may not agree with my opinions, ideas or thoughts. With billions of us on the planet, each with their own ideas and experiences - that’s fine by me. Please just be polite and professional if you feel like sharing back.
Thank you for taking the time to read and understand my Ethics Statement. This probably doesn’t cover every possible scenario under the sun, but it should give you a pretty solid idea of how highly I value the integrity behind what I do and the relationship with my clients and community.
I just want to keep having fun making training programs and publishing helpful content, and that disappears without these guidelines. If you’re a content creator, please feel free to take this Ethics Statement and make use of it to make your own!
